If you open your eyes and you perk up your ears
and you don't notice seniors in search of careers,
though it seems rather odd, there's a good explanation:
there's no one to tell them about graduation!

There once was a time when, in orange most beautiful,
they were informed in a manner most dutiful
as they ascended the first Pearlstone stair
that the ending was near, and they'd better beware
(and in many a case, take to tearing their hair).

The days went by fast 'til the moment of truth:
the end of their meal plans, the end of their youth.

There were one-sixty-five days, then one-sixty-four,
and the panic sent seniors to CDO's door.

And now, what has happened? The banner has flown
with the cause undisclosed, the location unknown.

What a loss, its great talent to nag and remind
about letters to write and connections to find.

Out of sight, out of mind, and the Gophers implore,
will we ever get rid of the class of '04?
