According to Cpl. Mike Hill, Baltimore County Police spokesperson, four bodies were found in a 10th floor room of the Sheraton Hotel shortly before 3 p.m. today. The bodies are rumored to have been killed in a murder-suicide.
The bodies have been identified as a man, two women, and a teenage girl. The Baltimore police would not release their identities or the means in which they were killed.
"To my knowledge, there is currently no ongoing threat in the hotel to any residents there," said Cpl. Hill.
Last October through December the Sheraton housed approximately 60 Goucher students. The hotel is also frequently used by prospective Goucher students and their parents.
"We have no reason to believe that the victims were related to Goucher in any way, at this time. No one from the hotel has contacted us, but at the same the there have been no identifications," said Kate Pipkin, Executive Director of Communications.
Kenneth Kramer-Cohen '10 and Niles Stanley '10 were walking by the hotel at 5pm today.
"We saw a whole bunch of police cars and ambulances. A reporter told us that four people were found dead," said Kramer-Cohen '10.
